Daryl, up above there, is my best male friend. We worked together for fourteen years at my old architectural firm, LKA Partners. Daryl has gone on to be a full-time professional architectural specification writer, a very demanding specialty within the profession. He now works out of his home in Cañon Ciy, Colorado.
Daryl is a major sports fan ... especially football. We have been to many football games together, including Broncos, Colorado University (where I went to school), Texas Tech (where Daryl went to school), and the Air Force Academy. For many years, we were season ticket holders at the USAFA, and even went on a road trip to see them play Notre Dame in South Bend. Go see my Flickr pages for pictures of our trip to see CU play Texas Tech in Lubbock.
Daryl makes me look shrimpy, and I'm 6'-0" and 280 lbs. Daryl's wife Cindy is also tall ... she was a round ball player in college at Weber State and then semi-pro basketball for a while. They make a great match.
To appreciate Daryl's size you have to see him. To appreciate Daryl, you have to know him. My pal.

Behind Karen is Stephanie, Eleanor's Mom
My friend Chuck Smith is a train fan, too; this is his girlfriend, Julie, posed in front of UP 844 which was visiting Colorado Springs while we were gone last summer (rats!). She's not a very big lady, but these are some really big wheels in comparison to anything.
This is Chuck, a normal size guy; you can see the size of the drivers.
This is Chuck's daughter, Katrina, and her husband Danny on their wedding day.
Morgan rowed one year, helmed another year, in the Dragon Boat Races on the Willamette. Her team was the "Love Boat" representing Planned Parenthood. That's Morgan kneeling in the center of the second row behind the seated woman in the white tee.
