(October 2010) Dr. Leone has recently had a chapter published in a new book titled, "The Nutrition Edge" edited by Susan Kundrat, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN. The book is published by Momentum Media (ISBN: 978-0-9842802-3-0). The chapter is about Celiac Disease in athletes and can be found in Chapter 11 called "Against the Grain." Check it out!
(NEW!) Dr. Leone currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors as the Past Vice President of Health for the Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (MAHPERD).
(NEW!) Dr. Leone has completed his book on male health! The book is being published by Jossey-Bass (an imprint of John Wiley & Sons), as well as the American Association of Health Education (AAHE). The book is titled, Concepts in Male Health: Perspectives across the Lifespan and is due out in 2011. More details will follow as they become available. Presently, I am an Assistant Professor of Health in the Department of Movement Arts, Health Studies, and Leisure Studies (MAHPLS) at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. I maintain this website as a means to reach out to my students, professional colleagues, other academics, and the community at large. My main focus centers around health education, but I am also heavily involved in the fields of strength and conditioning and athletic training. In terms of research, I focus on issues in male health, body image, violence and aggression, and androgenic anabolic steroid abuse in adolescent populations. I am always open to discussing new ideas, concepts, and collaborative endeavors.
