The SID backup Generator has been in use at Pump Station #7, south end of Lakeview Acres because of a failing 3 Phase Convertor; which was removed and sent back to the manufacturer on Friday the 16th for shop bench testing and repair. There is only 2 phase electrical systems in this area, and the Pump Station Pumps operate on 3 phase; thus a Phase Convertor was necessary. Because of the night temperature being below 40 degrees, the generator must run continuously, as the diesel engine is nearly impossible to start below these temperatures. |
