CME on Breast cancer was organized on 8th August by Regional Cancer Centre JIPMER.
Incidence of breast cancer in India is on rise and its management needs multidisciplinary care. Women with breast cancer seek their care from comprehensive breast clinics staffed by General Surgeons, Oncosurgeons, Medical oncologists, Radiation oncologists, Physiotherapists, Genetic counselors and other specialists. During the CME, Faculty members from General Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation oncology, Surgical Oncology, Pathology and Nuclear Medicine participated and delivered lectures on the Management of early and locally advanced breast cancer with a special emphasis on new and emerging approaches over the past 10 years. In the last session of CME, Panel discussion was conducted with panel experts having experience in breast oncology. |
