1) who drew the stuff here?
Me, my self, and I
2) how do you make your buttons?
I use my button maker. I print my design out and press them.
3) what button maker brand do you use and where did you buy it from?
My button maker is a Tecro 100 model and I bought mine off from ebay~ (it was around 350$USD)
I also buy my button parts from ebay (1000 part chunks)
4) I don't live in Canada or USA. Can I still order?
Yes. I can ship anywhere on earth :) just remember to give me your full address~
5) where do you print your stuff?
For bookmarks I have been using Costco's printing services. Its basically the same thing as getting your photo pictures done.
For buttons, I use my own printer or sometimes at costco/staples
6) around how long will it take for my product to arrive?
It depends on how far you live but it will take around a week or two.
7) Can you make my custom buttons (1" buttons with my designs on them)?
Yes. I do make buttons for other people. check this page --> Custom Buttons
However, I will not make anything that is illegal. Please send me your OWN designs. I do not want to get sued by big corps for making merchandise of their licensed stuff. (eg. requesting for a button with a starbucks logo)
And this ALSO includes artworks done by OTHER artists. If I suspect something, I will ask you to give me some proof for the artwork. SO PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE other people's art work as your button design. Its art theft and I will refuse to be part of it. I do lurk a lot in different art communities so I do recognize some artwork/artists (unless you get their permission). If you have more questions on this please email me.
8) Is there any other way of payment beside paypal?
It really depends I guess. You can try sending checks to me but the process will take a long time. Also, sending cash through the mail is risky and I won't be responsible if a problem happened. Paypal is the easiest and the safest way for me. Please email me if you have further questions about this.
9) Do you make/offer any other different sized buttons?
Not currently. However I do have a hand-press 2 1/4" button maker. The problem is, I am not good at making buttons with this machine. This option may be opened up in the future.
10) I live close to you. Is it possible for us to meet up instead of shipping?
If you can pay in advance for the buttons and I can easily meet up with you (eg. at conventions) I say, Why not :). However I won't make myself go out of my way to just meet you privately. sorry.
11) I want to request some designs that you don't already have. Can I?
Sure. I always like request. But requests don't guarantee that I will actually produce that design.
12) Do you take commissions?
Yes I do offer commissions ~ Please check here --> Commission page
13) Can you sell my buttons here for me?
No. This website is more of a personal website and I would like to keep it that way for now. Maybe in the future, I will think about making affiliations with similar websites like mine, or open up the option to personal friends only. Sorry
I will make custom buttons for you and what you do with them, such as selling them, is totally up to you.
14) Is it worth buying my own button maker?
It depends on each person. For me, since I make and sell a lot of buttons, its totally worth it to have my own machine than to order it from button making companies. If you are confident that you can earn back what you spent on the machine and make a profit out of it, I would say GO FOR IT.
15) Do you go to any Anime conventions?
Yes I do. Normally I try to go to Anime North (Toronto) and Fanexpo/CNanime. For the past few years I have been attending both of them so if you live near by, come drop by at my table :)
- Anime North: 2007-2009
- Fanexpo: 2007-2009
- Otakuthon: 2009
In the future, I may attend more cons. I am thinking of adding Otakon or Anime Expo for 2010!
16) What do you use to draw?
Mainly, I use photoshop CS 2 for digital work. Sometimes I do my lineart traditionally with pencil/pen and sometimes I do everything in photoshop. I also have been trying to pick up painter SAI. I do a little copic works as well.
