Respondents’ Evaluations in Order of Mean Value · Clear/organized: 5.2 · Knowledgeable/analytical: 4.9 · Established rapport: 4.6 · Provides direction & feedback: 4.5 · Enthusiastic/stimulating: 4.2 · Actively involves students: 4.0 Overall teaching effectiveness: 4.9 Summary I was generally effective in communicating the class materials as well as my knowledge to the students through well-designed/organized PowerPoint slides, well-paced oral presentation, and summative handout notes. However, I could have better engaged the students if they could have more live hands-on exercises and more dynamic interactions with me. In addition, if I had provided more background information and reasons for each step, fewer students would feel difficult to catch up with the class pace. The students seemed confused about the first and second questions on the feedback/assessment form since the answer to the first questions was similar to that of the second one. A better designed form should be used next time.Last but not least, be more passionate/enthusiastic next time. |
