ISO 17025 Assessor

One collateral duty I had at the Navy Primary Standards Laboratory was being an auditor for the Joint Navy Audit Certification (JNAC) Team. This dovetailed to the next chapter in my life.

ISO 17025 is titled the "General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Claibration Laboratories."

In April of 2008 I was invited to attend the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) ISO 17025 Assessor Orientation Course and  my first A2LA Assessor Conclave at Columbia, MD. I successfully completed that course and completed 7 assessments for A2LA. I attended a 2nd conclave in 2009.

I also work with National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) as a technical expert. NVLAP is National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) accreditation body. I participated as an observer for NVLAP in October 2008 and have completed 5 assessments. I attended the NVLAP Workshop in Gaithersburg, MD in 2009.

My primary area of expertise is RF and microwave measurements. I also support antenna, DC & AC Low Frequency and Time and Frequency assessments.
