Empty vTakes will be called "NO DATA" and cannot be renamed Record "Dry" (aka: Why commit yourself to an effect?) Use this feature to monitor your sound with an insert effect but to record only the raw sound. Leaving you free to pick an effect later.... Cross Fades Using the Fade-In and Fade-Out feature on two separate Tracks will produce a great "Cross Fade" effect.... With the various Fades available, certain combinations will produce an audible "Wobble" Listed below are the combinations that will produce an even cross fade.
Cross fades can be used in many ways: Try fading between two identical recordings but with one heavily processed to get a gradual effect. Have a listen to file "effect_crossfade" at the bottom of this page. see Track Editing Guide Capture/Swap (aka: "I wish I hadn't done that") Give yourself a safety net when editing, punching and just about everything.... Using the various edits available can be a little confusing at the best of times. It all too easy to make a mistake and destroy a section of your music. Get in the habit of using the Capture/Swap feature before you do anything. CAPTURE
You now have a backup copy of that Track available to revert to if things go wrong. To swap, repeat the same process. All captures are saved on the memory card while you have the Project open. |
