What It Is Like To Live In A Town With Register Sex Offenders Living One Block From Your House (?)  Out Front, CNN’s newly emergent nightly news show this evening, inspired me to write about my own private and very personal experience living within only one block away from a man who is a registered sex offender in my town of, Bloomingdale, New Jersey. However, since he, whose name is, Doug (last name unknown presently), and his decade long girlfriend Cindy, moved from Passaic County, New Jersey, to Pompton Plains, a town residing in, Morris County New Jersey, ten minutes from me, Doug and Cindy have both completely fallen off the New Jersey Sex Offender Database Radar; I just checked. And, although I see him across the street working in a store named, QuickChek which refused to hire me for work part-time, decided to hire him (Doug the Registered Sex Offender in my small town->Bloomingdale, New Jersey). The problem however is, Doug, as a registered sex offender in the state of New Jersey, is not supposed to work, play or be anywhere near any young children, yet, QuickChek, the store across the street from my apartment in which he works, has tons of children coming in and out of there nightly and all day additionally, buying bags of candy all hours of the day and night. 
Unfortunately, I do not possess a photo of, Doug, him owing since he moved as aforementioned, I noticed that although I know he does lives in, Pompton Plains, a town in Morris County ,about ten minutes from here, this evening when checking, I failed to find him listed anywhere on the New Jersey sex offender database radar system anymore. And this mtter of fact, ought to scare every parent from, Bloomingdale , New Jersey, to Pompton Plains, New Jersey (where he is presently living) and this is the story of why:
I lived in Bloomingdale, New Jersey over 7 years before ever knowing Doug was a registered sex offender, until, I became an advocate for the Battered Women’s Shelter (SOS-Strengthen Our Sister’s) here in West Milford, New Jersey where I met Doug’s live girlfriend, Cindy. Cindy came over and confessed to me her constant fear for her life living with Doug; she came over my apartment asking me to help get her into a safe house where she could leave Doug safely, and begin a new life without him shooting and killing her in the process of it all; which Doug had threatened her he’d do IF she asked him to leave. She told me, Doug, is not legally allowed to own any guns since he is a registered sex offender and pedophile, but still owns as well as keeps guns in their shared house anyway, which, by the way I might add, is a HUD Section-8 house for low income persons paid for with from using, United States tax revenues. Their rented apartment, resides merely a block down the street from my own apartment. Cindy cried while explaining to me, Doug told her IF she asked him to leave ever, he would shoot her dead! She asked my advice on the matter since I was once a battered women myself living in the shelter SOS for six years, myself once . During my advice session with her, she confessed to me also, that Doug, was a violent repeat sex offender and pedophile who likes sex with little children (boys and girls ages 4-7 primarily): this made me morally ill to hear! Also, she confessed, Doug, had no self control to resist his constant urges to have sex with little children living in the neighborhood.  To make a long story short, I personally asked , Doug, one day I said to him,” Doug why do you like little girls”? I also asked him, “Do you still like them after all of your therapy?” I went into an instant state of shock when hearing, Doug’s reply to me saying, “ Jill, I just like sex with little girls and boys really young like age five, and I have d, I cannot control myself when I get the urge and see one.” …”I just want to have sex with them at any cost and I cannot change!” 
Several times before this little chat I had with , Doug, on my lawn last summer, he was caught in the act , while still on previous Probation, found hiding behind the trees and bushes on my rental property taking photos of my upstairs neighbor’s young grand-daughter, Kaylin without permission from her parents. No need to say the local township police were immediately called to the apartment ,and, Doug, was arrested once again, at once! What frightened me even more was last summer, after moving to Pompton Plains, New Jersey in Morris County, he failed registering this move and has completely fallen off the Sex Offender Databases Radar. He still worked across the street at the QuickChek store however from my apartment and nce evening during the summer last year, at about dusk/sundown, on a hot summers evening, I decided walking across the street to the store for an ice cream at, QuickChek,. I happen to be wearing a ponytail resembling a high school student ; I also wore a semi sexy summer halter and a short summer skirt. Ironically, as the sun slowly went down, Doug, did NOT at all recognize me not in the night shadow while I walked passed him outside QuickChek where he was sitting and smoking while waiting for his night shift work to begin and yelled out to me,” Hey little girl, could I buy you a soda and some candy and can you come over and talk to me beautiful,” I immediately said, ”DOUG IT IS ME , JILL STARR, YOU PERVERT!!!” He immediately became EVERY TYPE OF EMBARRASSED APOLOGETIC SAYING, “Please don’t tell anyone Jill, I didn’t recognize you and thought you were a kid!” Since it would have only been my word against his, and I could not prove he had any sexual intentions with anyone under age since I was way above the legal age for consensual sex with the man; I kept the incident itself to myself. But I greatly feared for the other many nuclear family’s here in town who had many young boys and girls within the age group that Doug told me he was attracted to. I feared for their lives! Shortly thereafter, Doug and Cindy moved a few towns into another county called , Morris County, in a town called Pompton Plains, and he failed to re-register on the sexual offender database. I know because I can’t locate him anywhere on it, yet I see him working across the street and I do often speak with his mentally retarded live in girlfriend , Cindy, who tells me where they live, along with just about everything and anything else one would be curious about their personal lives together! Tonight once again, Doug , had failed still to relist himself as a registered sec offender in Pompton Plains, NJ (his new town).  It is also noteworthy mentioning many times, I personally have almost been date raped in my own apartment here by befriending registered sex offenders whom lived in my town. However, owing to my own mistaken fault of not using the sex offender database to check out who in my town is a sexual predator, these near date-rapes were my own fault! They will never happen again’ Those persons almost date raping me looked very normal, until I invited them into my apartment at which point telling them “NO” I DID NOT WANT SEX WITH THEM MEANT “YES!” ((To Them It Did)!! HOWEVER, IF I HAD BEEBN WISE ENOUGH TO HAVE LOOKED TO FJND OUT WHO WAS LIVING NEAR ME AS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER, IF I HAD SEEN THEIR PHOTOS BEFORE SUCH INICIDENTS WOULD HAVE NEVER OCCURRED! THEY WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPANED. Therefore, I greatly urge all men, women and families to PLEASE take the mere small ten minutes it takes to look up who the sex offenders are whom live in your town, and maybe even next to your very house, before something as horrible happens to your children, or even to yourself! I promise you the ten minute endeavor is well worth it! God Forbid! All it takes is to undertake a Google a Search for “Registered Sex Offender Database Your Town and State and Zip Code.” And Google will guide you to the photos and detailed crimes of the sex and other criminals living near you in your town and tell you exactly where they live and give you a few photos of them also. Please do it! The lives it could save very well could be yours, and those of your family. It is well worth taking the ten minutes in time to look-up.
