Is the USA Capable of Thinking in Long Term diplomatic Military Strategy Anymore?

I admit there is so much Balkan history that I don’t claim to know; I just keep reading. The news articles always report the ICTY refuse giving Karadzic and other Bosnian Serbs awaiting trials at the Hague their social economic human right right to press relations. Unless Karadzic says exactly what the ICTY allows him, he gets denied his right to contact and put out a press release.

I think the USA has a big problem being paranoid of “communism” which does not really exist today the way the USA views it except for places like North Korea. I mean much has changed. My friends always were allowed to practice religion openly in Serbia they tell me. Although way back in the day in old Russia that was a problem of the communist party and they murdered all religious oppositions; but that has all changed today as even Chavez allows churches and Cuba too. Communism is not the same as it was during the cold war and because of MAD (mutual assured nuclear destruction) neither Russia nor the USA are dumb enough to shoot atomic bombs at each other today.

Insofar as Iran, North Korea and Al Qaeda, now these are the problems the USA ought to have spent its military might on over the past two decades and not Serbia.

The USA would have had a much better ally diplomatically today in 2010 if they were at that time capable of thinking ahead militarily and strategic, if under former President, Bill Clinton, the USA was “prudent” enough to ally up during the Bosnian war with Serbia and neither Croatia nor the Muslim Islamist factions supporting Al Qaeda.

The Croats are still heavily involved in nazi facism as Hitler’s Mein Kemp keeps popping up on the Croatian best seller list yearly on the top ten ,and, insofar as Muslims, the radicals fighting Croats (well Serbs more than Croats during the Bosnian war) , I know they are and were heavily involved in supporting AL QAEDA, DRUG TRAFFICING AND Albania itself is much more a communist anti religious nation than Serbia under Milosevic ever was. If the USA allied itself with Serbia, it would have had Russia on its side more.

And that we know is a BIG PLUS. Russia’s territory is vast and with the right financing, it possesses so much of the world’s naturally known resources right?

By NATO bombing the Former Yugoslavia, the USA threw away its big chance to boost diplomatic and military ties with Russia and China by bombing Serbia in 1999.

Serbia ought to have been America’s ally and then would be both Russia and China (who happens controlling most all our US debt presently, as well as Iran possessing nukes, while also having a good control handle on North Korea), as does Russia also).

But instead of securing Russia and China as long term strategic allies, the USA under Bill CLinton chose to throw all that away by going for cheap allies such as Croatia and Islamist radicals who support Al Qaedafighting during the Bosnian war against Serbia.
