Biomedical Engineering

My self Jigar Patel and I did Biomedical & Instrumentation Engineering in undergrad. and MS in Biomedical Engineering with focusing on Biomedical Instrumentation and medical signal processing. I really love to work on medical instruments and apply electronics techniques in filed of medical.

• μ-Law & A-Law Companding: With DSP Kit TMS320C6711 μ-Law and A-Law is coding for compression and Expansion of voice signal transmission over telephone line.

• External Pacemaker: The pacemaker that designed basically works depending on the mode of operation and the design choices for the functional components of the pacemaker. It works in either asynchronous mode or synchronous mode to provide the cardiac support to the patient. It is also available in two categories as single chamber or dual chamber pacemaker. The output pulse parameters can also be adjusted as per the requirement. It is a micro controller based pacemaker which provides flexibility of various operations.

• Neonatal thermo-regulatory Unit: Unit having a six channel, which measure the temperatures of pediatric patient and according to the temperature this unit which ON/OFF of the heating source, infusion pump etc...

• Instrumentation of Heart Lung Machine: This is used as to control the flow rate of the stepper motor, used to drive the blood from the man-made tubes and also to measure the temperature and the O2 content for the demo purpose. And it gives the alarm if it exceeds.

• Tele ECG Monitoring system: This is telemedicine based project and in this project I took ECG from patient and Convert ECG into voice and transmits this voice signal over telephone line and other side receive this signal and Convert back to ECG.

• Demand type pacemaker
