Workshop Outline Jidnyasa Trust Thane had organized a workshop on web publishing. Participants learnt the basics of web publishing using multimedia techniques including audio/video, photos and text. They were introduced to platforms for web publishing including blogs, maps and mashups. Tools for publishing including desktop-based media editors and web tools were covered. The 3-day workshop was divided as follows:
Day 1
- Assemble and get introduced to online publishing; see samples of what has been done using the tools.
- Discuss ideas for projects and form teams.
- Prepare project outline and plan tasks for next 2 days. Decide the medium and requirements for raw material.
Day 2
- Prepare raw material - take pictures and videos, record audio, write text.
Day 3
- Edit content to make publication ready. Combine content from various media.
- Choose appropriate online platform and publish the work.
