What I do for work is about Spintronics, or spin electronics.

I am a Mac fan. I own three Macs: iBook G3 - 600MHz (retired), iMac G5 - 1.8GHz, and Macbook Core 2 Duo - 2.0GHz. I also own some other Apple gadgets: a blue iPod Mini (retired), a black iPod Classic, and a Mighty Mouse. Here is a list of Mac apps I use. And I use Ubuntu Linux at work. Here is a list of Linux apps I use.

I am a geography fan too. I like geography since I was very young, so I always have a huge map of the world in my room. I take the Geography Quiz frequently. I've submitted correct answers several times, and four of which [1. Bergen, Norway; 2. The Republic of Kirabati; 3. Hania, Crete Island, Greece; 4. Pyongyang, North Korea ] were the first correct answers submitted, and so I won 400$ from the website.

I am also enthusiastic about traveling, one can easily see from my Photos page.

I like movies, especially spy movies, such as 007 series,Bourne series ... Like many other people, my favorite movie is "Shawshank Redemption."

Here you may find a software called Ultra FFT developed by Di Xiao and I for physics laboratory in Peking University many years ago when we were still in college. Based on Fast Fourier Transformation, this software can make optical diffraction images of a square, a lattice, or anything you can think of. Unfortunately, it only runs on Windows. Some small tools are also included, such as a Computer Tomography simulator, a image generator, and a tool that can multiply and add images.
