My top 10 albums, I would recommend (if, you please).

The World is sound ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

As I'm doing this, I realize how hard it is to make such a list. At least, when you wish to keep track of all the albums representative of how you feel. Here is a list of records a bit ahead of the common releases or simply moving records. A few questions : Why this album is better than this one ? In which context ? Why this one and not the one, the same band released two years earlier ? Was it that big at the time ?.... I'm still trying to find out.

> NOT yet totally done, in case you wonder.

This is my Top 10 favorites Albums.

Music Quotes and Quotations, I enjoy.

"Music is like perfume, the scent of immediacy is as immediate as music." - Maria Bethânia (2008).

"Before you play two notes learn how to play one note - and don't play one note unless you've got a reason to play it." - Mark Hollis (1998).

"I think the most important thing about music is the sense of escape." - Thom Yorke

"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."  - Victor Hugo

"The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is no moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems and spoils."
- William Shakespeare

Also, I created the following Websites mostly related to Depeche Mode

1 - Stan Getz & João Gilberto

This album is simply the greatest musical fraud ever, it's not music, it's only poetry. Happy, sad, confused, depressed, the pleasure provided by this record is intense and definitely out of reach. "O grande Amor" has something no other song i know, has. I should stop making sense. Album: Getz/Gilberto - Year: 1963 - Listen to Stan Getz & João Gilberto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 - Laughing Stock - TALK TALK

Hours, and hours, I've spent hours trying to find out what this record was all about. Up to this date, I won't be able to give you a single hint. It's all about how you feel about things you cannot really understand. When things are strange and you like it. Album: Laughing Stock - Year: 1991

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 - The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out

No matter where you are from, no matter if you do listen to music, or not, you already know this record or at least many of the melodies. I bought this record 15 years ago, because I liked the cover, and also because I had never seen a cd with so many stickers on it, never thought, I would love it that much. TAKE me FIVE ! Album: Time Out - Year: 1959 - Listen to The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Time Out ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 - Radiohead - Kid A

Slice, cut and paste, rewind, forward, slow this pace. Play, add, subtract and then you might escape. ><pause>< Once recorded, it's hard to erase, better print before, I’m dead. (inspired by this record) Album: Kid A - Year: 2000 - Listen to Radiohead - Kid A.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 - The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Of course, I had to choose a Beatles Album, between Revolver, and the White album, things were like really tight. I wasn't here, when any of these records came out and I thought, I had to be true to my musical history, and Sgt. Pepper's was about meeting this band, to me. Album: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Year: 1967 - Listen to The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 - Depeche Mode - Violator

"I'm waiting for the night to fall, When everything is bearable, And there in the still, All that you feel is tranquillity, There is a star in the sky
Guiding my way with its light, And in the glow of the moon, Know my deliverance will come soon." It's THERE !
Album: Violator - Year: 1990 - Listen to Depeche Mode - Violator ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7 - Polar - Bi

It's all about opening doors, giving sight to what could be in front of you, to all that could happen, and all that could have been, whispering thoughts we've all felt. It sounds like a kindergarden music toy, but lyrics are sharp as knives, pop music is here only for delight, and it's what makes this record a bitter candy. Album: Bi - Year: 1998 - Listen to Polar - BI ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
