metakert (=meta garden)is an experimental space for playing and improvisation.

also a project, started in spring 2006 in the independent cultural center Tűzraktér.in 2007 we moved to Cökxpon ambient café theatre.

our current project is about one year long, it's a series of workshops, improvisational sessions, games, etc.

in the first few months we focus on noverbality. this includes workshops with different teachers on movement, body awerness and self-expression without sounds. methods in this phase include: yoga, pilates, body mind centering, contact dance, feldenkrais method and others.
there will be games and impro session where you musn't make any noise - in indoor and outdoor locations in budapest.

the next "preverbal" phase will include similar activities using sounds (but not words). we'll be working with speech therapists, musicians, etc.
we will experiment with alternative ways of communication and study the communication of animals.

in the third phase we will work with speech using texts, theatre training, games. we'll work with psychotherapists, drama techers, speech therapist etc.

all along there will be a strong focus on completly free improvisation.

we work  10-16 hours a week, usually thursday afternoon/evening and saturday.
