Poetry Soundscape

This is the assignment on literature remixed. Once I figured out the program this was relatively easy to do and I think would be very intriguing in the classroom. I chose to use a poem from Scottish poet Robbie Burns, a powerful poem about fighting oppression. It's called "Scots Wha Hae" and is partially written in the Scots dialect.

I enjoyed the recording of the work, and then finding music, adding sounds, and listening to the final product. I found frustration in the downloading of the various programs and trying to transform my file into an mp3, but eventually succeeded.

My sources for this project are: "Scots Wha Hae" by Robbie Burns, sh_digging_labored_breathing.wav, submitted by shall555 and war noise REV.wav submitted by Leady on freesound.org. For the music I chose the beautiful "Foldhullam" by Grizzly616 from ccMixter.org.
