Jessie and Jason
 How we met:
I honestly don't remember the first time we met. We had mutual friends, but we didn't really get to know each other until we worked together at the local video store. I had a boyfriend and he had a girlfriend, and neither of us thought of each other as more than just friends. He got another job and I didn't see him for a while. In the meantime, he and his current girlfriend decided it wasn't meant to be (We actually just attended her wedding!), and my relationship was on the rocks. We attended another wedding of a couple of friends of ours and I think that was when sparks started to fly. A week before my sisters wedding, my ex and I broke up and I needed a date real quick! We were hanging out with some friends at the beach when I overheard him talking about how much fun he had at the wedding we just attended. Since I already had a little crush... I decided to invite him to my sisters wedding a week later. He came and we had an amazing night. The rest, as they say, is history! That was almost 8 years ago!
The proposal:
 My desire to get married was no secret, I had reminded Jason quite frequently, showing him hundreds of pictures of engagement rings. I wanted it so badly, and I was always expecting it. I can imagine how difficult it must have been for him, trying to figure out how on earth he could surprise me! Well he did! I was taking a nap on a lazy sunday afternoon, when Jason was kneeling beside the bed, attempting to wake me up. The cranky person that I am, I told him I wanted 5 more minutes and rolled over. He didn't leave, and as I began to show my frustration, he placed an open jewelry box with the most beautiful engagement ring, in front of my face. I think my first words were actually "What is that?" I thought it was some kind of joke! When I finally realized what was going on, the waterworks started flowing and he popped the question. I of course said yes and he kissed me. It was the most amazing moment of my life.

 Hair and makeup will be done by "Special Day by Carolina" Bridesmaids Dresses on my beautiful sisters (Only they will be bright turquoise!):
 My inspiration for my bouquets. We're going with all hydrangea and yellow roses. My bouquet will be ivory hydrangea with yellow roses, the girl's will have hydrangea that is just starting to turn blue like the hydrangea in the pics, also with pale yellow roses.  We couldn't choose between two centerpieces so we decided to go with both, only on alternating tables. They will look like these, only with hydrangea and yellow roses, and they will be placed on mirrors with a votives around them. 
 This is our inspiration for our cake design, only ours will have yellow flowers instead of pink, and a turquoise ribbon going around the base of each teir. The flavors we chose are gold cake with strawberries and cream filling for the bottom tier, the next will be chocolate with chocolate mousse filling, the second to the top will be carrot cake with cream cheese filling and the top will be white with buttercream filling.  In addition to the cake we are going to have a candy buffet and chocolate fountain, and for favors we are going to have clusters of honey sticks wrapped in a personalized turquoise ribbon.
Our invitations are also going to have yellow cherry blossoms to match the cake, and we will have matching table numbers and escort cards. Our tables will have floor length ivory linens and ivory chair covers, with bright turquoise sashes and napkins. Honeymoon: We will be departing on June 21st for a 7 night Royal Caribbean Cruise on the Freedom of the seas! We will be visiting Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Cozumel. I am soooo excited!
