Angels Policy has sired performance horses such as:
POLICY BUGS si 98 was a stakes winner and placer and earned $ while racing. In the fall of 1993 she was taken off the track and bred early in 1994, although it was thought the mare didn’t take and she was then sent on to Gary Junt in Dickinson, ND in March for riding. In May she went to Robin Hoffman to be started on the barrels. With limited training the mare placed 3rd in the 1st Go of the 1994 ND Breeder’s Barrel Futurity and 3rd in the 1st Go of the 1994 Oklahoma Limited Futurity. She also won the $1000 Novice Champion Buckle at the OBRA Two Rocks Ranch Summer Series and placed at the following open rodeos Choctaw, Tuttle, Clinton and Tecumseh. Considering the mare hadn’t even seen a barrel prior to May 15th and by June 15th she was clocking 1D times, rider Robin Hoffman was quite impressed.
There were plans to haul the mare to the fall futurities and the she had been entered in the Admore Fall Futurity and OKC World Championship but around October 1st it became very apparant that she was in fact in foal. That was the end of her barrel racing career. She had won a total of about $5,000 in futurity, open rodeo and jackpot money.
Thank you Robin Hoffman for the background information on Policy Bugs.
