Short Bio: Jeremy Laurent-Lucchetti is an associate professor of economics at the Geneva School of Economics and Management of the University of Geneva. His research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, environmental economics and development economics. He currently focuses in explaining the roots of civil conflicts, riots and other form of political violence. He is a member of the CEPR Research and Policy Network (RPN)  on "Preventing Conflict: Policies for Peace".

 In parallel, he is also interested on studying the impact of online learning and hybrid teaching methods on students achievements. 

He has published in scientific journals such as the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Games and Economic Behavior,  the American Journal of Agricultural Economics or the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy.

He has worked on several policy reports for a number of institutions such as the United Nations, NGOs and Governments.

He is co-editor of the Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics.  

He is the co-director of the Institute of Economics and Econometrics.
