Why Do We Age?

Aging begins in the cells. When a cell begins to age, it's simply not as efficient a machine as it was when you were younger. Toxins accumulate faster than the cell can remove them. Free radicals do cataclysmic damage to the inside of your cells. Cartilage wears thin and bone grinds upon bone. Organs begin to shrink and lose their ability to function in the way that they did. After several years of this internal deterioration, age begins showing on people's faces and other areas. Our wonderful muscular bodies begin to sag and droop and slow down. Unless we do something about it quickly, this is the condition that everyone has to look forward to.

The second part of this process is that the immune system becomes compromised. Cells that are far less efficient than they used to be can no longer fight off conditions that cause aches, pains, and degenerative changes. Cholesterol builds up, digestion begins to fail, fat accumulates in the abdomen, thighs and posterior; lean muscle declines into atrophy. A combination of SomaLife gHP with SomaLife Super X, and SomaVit (two newly formulated antioxidants) can offer support in slowing down, stopping and even eventually reversing many of the changes of that rapidly encroaching march of time.

When is the best time to start on this regimen? As soon as you decide that you really do not want to get old.

What Is HGH?

HGH is an abbreviation of Human Growth Hormone. HGH is manufactured by the pituitary gland, which is located underneath the center of the brain. Through a complex control process the pituitary gland, working in conjunction with the hypothalamus, decides when, and how much HGH, to release into the body's operating system. Science has known for years that as a body ages, the amount of HGH released into the system is progressively diminished.

At that time, the prevailing thinking was that the only function of HGH was to make a young body grow into an adult and when the growth cycle was complete HGH would have no further use. It has only been in the last twenty or thirty years that medical science discovered that proper use of HGH could slow, and in some cases reverse, some of the parameters of the aging process. Then the dash was on to figure out how to get more HGH into the system.

It was SomaLife's scientists and physicians that found the solution. They discovered a combination of amino acids that assisted the pituitary into releasing the exact amount of HGH that the body needed to optimize levels safely and they patented the process. If the science had not been there and the results proven, the patent would never have been issued.

When is the best time to take SomaLife gHP Youth Formula?
SomaLife gHP should always be taken on an empty stomach if possible. This ensures rapid and complete absorption. Men may take all 6 capsules before bed. Women can take 3 before breakfast and 3 before bed but evidence suggests that a night time regime works well for all.

How long should I take SomaLife gHP Youth Formula before expecting results?
We recommend taking the product for at least 6 months to see optimal results and continually thereafter. Please note results will vary depending on one's state of fitness, so it is recommended that the health questionnaire be completed prior to beginning the product.

Can I take other dietary supplements at the same time I take SomaLife gHP Youth Formula?
Yes, SomaLife gHP Youth Formula has been found to enhance the effects of other supplements.

Why should the product be taken on an empty stomach?
If the product is not taken on an empty stomach this may interfere with the proper absorption into the bloodstream. Food breaks down into protein and protein into amino acids. Amino acids in some foods may combine with the Amino Acid stack to make new or different Amino Acids.

Glossary of Terms

Antioxidant
A combination of vitamins, chemicals or herbs that would overcome the oxidant's ability to cause harm.

Intercellular Located or occurring between the cells

Intracellular Located or occurring within a cell or cells.

Human Growth Hormone The master hormone excreted from the pituitary gland to control growth in the human body. In recent years it has been discovered that HGH has the ability to help in slowing many of the parameters of aging.

IGF-1 A protein called Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1. Once HGH is released into the blood stream, much of it is attached to receptors in the liver, which it instructs to produce a protein called IGF-1. It is in this form that HGH does much of its work.

Secretagogue (Pronounced si-'krE-t&-"gäg) A substance, chemical or nutrient, which will by its nature encourage a gland to release a hormone.

Longevity Long Life

S.O.D. Super Oxide Dismutase, an enzyme antioxidant. Superoxide dismutase and catalase are two of the effective and powerful antioxidants produced in the body's cells.

Catalase An antioxidant enzyme that is able to catalyze a reaction that converts hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen (See S.O.D.) inside the cell.

Glutathione Found in virtually every cell in the body. Serving as an antioxidant, it plays a large role in our first line of defense against free radical activity. In healthy people, glutathione is found in relatively high concentrations. SomaLife Super X assists in maintaining that high concentration of glutathione.

Alpha Lipoic Acid An exceptional antioxidant occurring in very small quantities in the body. As we age those quantities tend to diminish. Both Super X and SomeVit add significant quantities of alpha lipoic acid to the body.

Mitochondria The powerhouse of the cell which must withstand the attack of free radical oxidants in order for the cell to function well.

Amino Acids Are the building blocks of protein. When the doctors found the proper blend of amino acids, they became the secretagogue that assists the pituitary gland to release HGH into the body.

Pituitary Gland Is the body's master gland. It is from commands issued through the pituitary in the form of hormones that other hormonal glands and systems are directed.

Oxidants Are the rogue electrons that steal and damage other electrons in our bodies and are the ultimate cause of much aging and degeneration within our cells.
