About Us 

 

Corey & I have been together since 2001. We met through mutual friends who were dating at the time. We met at a bowling alley in NH with some friends. A week or so later, he opened the door at my friend, Lauren's, house. We talked and went on some group dates with our friends until having our first official date, just the two of us, on Valentines Day in 2002. Corey moved to Georgia the very next day, but a few months after he moved back up to New England and we've been together since then.

We got engaged on my birthday, December 5, 2006. I walked in to our apartment and found him there with a happy birthday banner over the door, even though he had left for work that morning. He had a bunch of flowers for me too. We sat down on the couch and Corey gave me a few (lame) birthday presents, including a knife, a metal bowl, and a measuring cup—granted they were from Crate & Barrel. He then got up, started pacing, and came back over to me. He went down on both knees and crossed his arms on my lap. He went into all the mushy stuff that someone would say at a time like that and pulled the ring out from under the couch. Then, he cooked me dinner for the first time in his life, a filet, potatoes, and broccoli. It was all part of an amaizing week. Three days before, I had been offered my dream job, 5 days after, my little cousin was born, and at the same time, my Uncle received new that he was cancer free!
