Jens Grubert

Welcome

I am a research assistant at the Institute or Computer Graphics and Vision, Graz University of Technology, Austria.

Since 2008 my main field of work is mobile Augmented Reality. Currently, I am focusing on understanding the use of mobile Augmented Reality interfaces on smartphones and transitional interfaces for handheld Augmented Reality in the project SmartReality.

In the past I have worked at the Virtual Development and Training Center of the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg, Germany. There I investigated long term effects of mobile Augmented Reality systems in industrial environments (e.g., order picking systems). The calibration and automatic slippage adjustment of optical see-through and virtual retinal head-mounted displays was another focus of my work.

During my study of Computational Visualistics at the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg I focused on topics like Human Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, and Computer Graphics - see Courses section.

Besides my research I am an active photographer.
