Thanks to

I want to say a special thank you to my wife, Aila, for being supportive in my adventure, my bosses, Jon and Jennifer, for understanding and allowing me the time off, and my IBM colleagues for taking on my workload while I am away.

Who is Jeff Douglas

I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. I was an avid cyclist during my teenage years and in my early 20's. Later, I spent my late 30's and all of my 40's studying taekwondo and received my black belt in 2002. Two years ago, after a sparring injury, I decided to take a break from karate and get back into long distance road bicycling. The bicycle bug bit me again, and now I am planning for my ride across America on my Fezzari CR2.

I have been programming IBM and other computers since 1972, and am the author of the following products:
IBM PCS-ADS Radiology Systems
CA-Realia RealDL/I
CA-Realia RealIMS
CA-Realia Real370
Micro Focus Mainframe Access (MFA)
Micro Focus Source Code Management Facility (SCMF)
NeuVis NeuArchitect Mainframe Access
IBM Enterprise Generation Language (EGL) CobolGen

I am an employee of IBM, in the Software Group, and responsible for EGL CobolGen.

I am married to Aila and we have 2 children, Laura and Matthew. We reside in Connecticut.
