I'd Like to Hear from You
I'll be updating the blog on this site on a very regular basis, once the adventure begins. If you wish to send me an email, please feel free to send it to: jeffreypauldouglas@gmail.com Let me know how you found out about the ride, and emails of encouragement will be welcome!
For the benefit of the Newtown High School marching band
Sure I could do this ride for the benefit of the Cancer Society, Parkinson's, the Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis, all of which have touched my loved ones. But frankly, I'd rather benefit a local organization that I know could really use the money. The Newtown High School marching band is a multiple-year, award winning group, comprised of approximately 100 hard-working students, along with another 50 or so parent volunteers, This band operates under the Newtown High School Band Parent's Corporation (NHSBPC), a 503(c) charitable organization. Consider donating 1 penny per mile ($36.29) or even more. Don't worry, I'll tackle the hard work, like cycling up the Rockies, the Black Mountains and the Adirondacks. You just sit back and check on my progress using this web site and know that you helped benefit a great bunch of marching band people. Tax deductible donations can be sent to NHSBPC, PO Box 3333, Newtown, CT, 06470.
