N-Tense training for 11th and 12th graders. 

A-Teams at homes 6:30-8pm

March 1-4- Sr. High Ski Outreach Trip

March 4- $100 deposit for 8th grade Chicago trip due!

March 7- Sr. High Service project serving meals at Freedom for Youth.

March 10- Jr. High girls movie night at JEFC @ 6:30-9:30PM. We will be watching the Princess Bride. This movie is rated PG. For more info on the movie go to imbd.com! This event is free but please bring a snack to share with the group.

April 1- $100 deposit for Rosebud trip due! AND $100 deposit for Challenge due

April 6-7- Sr. High 30 hour famine.

Soph/Junior Boys co-ed laser tag hang out.

Seniors meet at the Souths @ 6:30PM (9078 Summit Dr, Clive, IA) 


Friday (January 27)
-Overtime at JEFC following the Johnston-Urbandale Basketball game

Saturday (Jan. 28)
-Senior High Service project at Hope ministries. Meet at JEFC at 10:15AM. We are collecting donations of men's white undershirts and socks, please feel free to bring donations :)

Sunday (January 29)
Sunday school @ 9:30AM
N-Tense during 2nd service for all 11th and 12th graders
A-Teams at homes @ 6:30PM-8PM

Future Events:
Feb. 3-5- Winter Blast at Hidden Acres (you can still sign up but please hurry! Cost is now $105 because of late fee)

  • M-Pact training for 9th and 10th grade students during 2nd service

We've been working on updating the Photos & Videos section of the website and there are new videos from the Belize trip added! There will be more to come as we get them processed so keep checking back.

  • Youth Group will be our Belize Share Night at 6:30pm - Everyone's invited! 
Future:
  • August 5-6th - guy's 2nd airsoft/paintball campout - talk to Josh for more info.
  • August 7-8th - Senior retreat (for the class of 2012)

Since most of us will be gone this next week to Belize we decided to cover this week's activities as well as next week:

Today (6th):
  • Junior High youth group at 6:30pm at the church
Thursday (7th):
  • Belize team hangout/meeting at 7pm at the South's house
Sunday (10th):
  • Belize team meet at the airport at 5:15am!!!
  • No Sunday School (Table Talk with families) 
  • Senior High youth group at 6:30pm at the church

Next Saturday (16th):
  • Belize team returns late (approx 10:30pm)

For Today:
  • There is Junior High youth group tonight at 6:30pm at the church! We're excited to have everyone back after a two week break.
For Sunday:
  • This Sunday is the start of Table Talk! There will be no Sunday School for the month of July. 
  • There will be no youth group - Have a Happy 4th!
For Future/Other:
  • June 10-16 - Youth team goes to Belize!
    • ATTN PARENTS OF BELIZE TEAM MEMBERS! We are in need of everyone's passport numbers by the end of today!!! There is some last-minute paperwork we need to send in ASAP - Your students have been informed of this, but often we get information faster from you.

  • Senior small group meet at the South's house at 7pm
  • Junior small group meet at Josh & Leah South's apartment at 7pm
Thursday:
  • Guys paintball/airsoft campout - meet at the church at 12:30pm
  • If you have a daughter in high school and have not heard about our upcoming girls event please contact Kate or Hilary for more information
Saturday:
  • Finish Strong 5K Walk/Run at the church! There is still time to sign up!
    • 5:30pm - walk-up registration
    • 6:30pm - free kids' races (10 & under)
    • 7:30pm - 5K race starts
Sunday:
  • Sunday school at 9:30am
  • Senior high youth group at 6:30pm - BBQ at Pastor Jeff's house in Grimes

Future/Other information:

  • June 14-15 - Junior High Worlds of Fun trip - be at the church by 1:30pm
  • Rosebud meetings
    • Winner hangout - TBD
    • White River hangout - June 10th at 7pm at the Smith's house
    • Ideal hangout - June 17th at 7pm (skit team meeting at 6:15pm) - Location and activity TBD
  • Rosebud food donations - we have people signed up for most of the supplies we need for Rosebud, but we still have a few more!
    • Please check out the table in the foyer or this list to sign up
    • Donations can be dropped off in the boxes in the foyer by April 12th
