The Internet School Library Media Center site focuses on children's literature in education.  Teachers, library media professionals, parents, and students will find information on children's literature and associated language arts here.

      ·      TimeFor Kids 

Time For Kids is sponsored by Time Magazine and has a variety of informative games and articles for kids.  It also has a homework helper feature.

·        Literacy CyberSpace Family Literacy Instruction

From America Reads, practical ideas and strategies for parents and other family members to help young children become successful readers.  Also includes many strategies and information for all children Preschool – 12.

 

·        Literacy, Interactive Language Arts Web Site

    This website can be used as practice for proofreading, as well as grammar review!  It also has online books and magazines for K-5 students.

Grammar Resources

Interactive websites provide standards-based cross curricular web resources designed to enhance online learning opportunities.  These sites interact with the user usually through either a text-based or graphical user interface.

         ·        Great Sites For Kids

Language arts websites, homework help, and writing resources for students in grades 3 – 8.  This site also includes links for math, science, social studies and music.

Games and Activities

      ·        Gamequarium           

This is a very impressive website for kids.  It is loaded with learning games for kids in PreK – 6th grade.  It also has tutorials for several software programs including many Microsoft programs like FrontPage, Excel, Word, Publisher and others.

·          Surfing the Net with Kids 

Surfing the Net with Kids provides information, articles, games, and links to many other language arts websites.

      ·        Interactive Resources  

     An amazing website with hundreds of activities and links to other webpages.  The site includes hundreds of activities for students in grades 1-5 in language arts, math, science, and social studies.

      ·        Buddy 2, The Next Generation in Teaching and Learning 

Very cool website with interactive games, news articles for kids, and information to help with homework in language arts, math, science, and social studies.  The site also has links to museums, reference tools, search engines, and school websites.
