Google's new PageCreator service

Jeff's look at new services

03-07-07 Update:

I've used several more of Google's services: Picasa, Google Desktop, Calendar, Docs and Spreadsheets.... I enjoy integrating them and finding new ways to use them.

Having said that, here is a link to subscribe to my Blog at Blogger.com:   Subscribe to Penguin Thoughts

I'll try to add new stuff from time to time and this subscription link will ensure that you'll know when I do!

I ran across this service today and, though it still seems to be in beta, I thought I'd give it a try. It offers a variety of templates and is very user friendly. You simply choose your template and add the content to fill the boxes. It is truly a wysiwyg editor. The controls should be familiar to anyone who uses a modern word processing program. Links (click this link) and images are easy to insert, if not very flexible as far as positioning on the page.

It has an autosave feature and you can undo and redo changes if you want to experiment with the controls and see what will happen. I'll have to play around to see what the different layouts offer. Also, seeing as I only have this one page so far, I'm not sure how the site management tools are if you want to have multi level pages.... stay tuned...
