Between May and September 2010, I travelled around Canada and the US, visiting and looking around as many planetaria and science centres as possible. 

I reviewed each place I visited, because I wanted to find examples of good science communication and deliver those to the rest of the community. I am passionate about helping the public understand the world and the universe around them, and if I discover areas where a science centre is doing well, I want to celebrate that and pass it on to everyone in the field.

As such, I posted all reviews on the Astrotour 2010 blog to help those examples be heard.

I managed to spend nothing on accommodation by staying with audiodrama friends and couchsurfing.

I started in Toronto in May, afterwards exploring Eastern Canada, then to Washington DC, Chicago, New England and then Texas, ending in LA and San Francisco. The various science centres I visited can be seen in the map below.
