David Ault - The Tutor

I have experience teaching all ages in a variety of topics, extending from maths and science to computing and geography.

One of my bugbears is that people find maths and science 'too hard', because of bad experiences with it in the past. One thing I really want to do is show how fun, interesting and absorbing maths and science can be.

I started tutoring maths and physics at Manchester University (2003-2004) for first year undergraduates. After an extremely successful year I set myself up as a private tutor for 11+ exams in Walsall. Upon moving to London I joined the Top Tutors agency, through whom I have tutored all ages, from 11+ pupils through GCSE and A-level to degree level group theory and secondary school teaching.

I am licensed to tutor maths and physics to degree level, chemistry to A-level and basic English and drama.

Through July 2008 I was teaching maths and science at the Oxford Summer School on their 10-13 year old Young Prodigies scheme.

In June 2009 I taught drama and English with Lingue senza frontiere in Milan, Northern Italy.

In September 2009 I started work with the non-profit organisation Oxbridge Interviews, to help raise money for charity by providing mock interviews for A-level students. The company also runs a bursary scheme for those unable to pay.

I now work through Fleet Tutors and Blue Tutors, and have recently tutored mechanical engineering.
