JCC Summer Tide Swimming
This summer season is quickly approaching! Our first practice will on Tuesday, May 29. Check the practice schedule below to see when your child should attend. As for the children who are planning on going to the JCC camp this summer, practice for them take place during the camp day and they are not required to come during the evening practices. Although, for this children please attend afternoon practices until camp begins, from May 29 to June 23. Our first meet will be on June 20th. The rest of the schedule will be soon to follow as well as a day for the new team suit outfitting. For those who have not heard, Jeff Gross is no longer the head coach of the JCC swim team. Gold Team (Silver) = 4:00 – 5:30 PM on Monday – Friday Silver Team (Tide 3) 13 & up = 6:00-7:00 PM on Monday – Thursday Bronze Team (Tide 2) 9 -12 = 6:45-7:30 PM on Monday – Thursday Tidal Waves (Tide1) 8 & under = 5:30-6:00 PM on Monday – Thursday

We will need at least 6 officials for this summer season. You must attend one clinic to be certified. Please email back if you are interested. Once again, significant progress was made in our developement in this our third season. Many of our swimmers are now competing on a regular basis against and with the very best swimmers in New Jersey. Some of the highlights of the season include the following: 102 Gold cuts achieved ( 41 in the previous season ) 20 swimmers with Gold cuts swam at the Junior Olympics 7 Swimmer achieved 6 or more Gold cuts 8 swimmers reached finals in Junior and Senior State Championships Silver medal for second place in the girls 11-12 1650 at Junior Olympics for Abigail Kilgallon Our first Sectional cut and swim for Lauren Saperstein in the 100 breast. Our first finals swims at Junior Olympics for Lauren Saperstein, Alex Polyakov, and Noelle Buckley Our first relay entries in Junior Olympics with all 4 swimmers having qualifying cuts ( boys 13-14 relay and girls 10 and under relay) Finally, our first national level team-wide swim meet, the 2012 Sunkissed Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina. Five swimmers attended this prestigious meet in March accompanied by coach Craig Bostwick. Tide swimmer Evan Kott placed 2nd in the 13 and under 100 breast, earning a Silver medal and a podium appearence. He also placed 3rd in the 13 and under 100 IM while scoring a total of 72 points.
