All About Me...
Jason E. Zamft
The most important to thing to know about me is that I am driven towards becoming an English Teacher. There is nothing more powerful than literature. Its ability to inspire, influence, and inform is essentially the reason why I want to teach English education.
Other Interesting facts about me are that I love the New York Mets almost as much as my family. There is nobody I look up to more than members of my immediate family. My father, mother, and especially my twin brother are people who have inspired me to be a better individual and a stronger person. My twin brother is one individual who I can never be like, he served proudly in The United States Army for four years (a year and a half spent in Iraq on the frontlines) and the admiration I have for him is indescribable.
I’m originally a boy from the borough of Queens but I call Brentwood, Long Island home now. Its diversity exposes a beauty about people and it has been able to help me develop a better understanding of different cultures and traditions. The town celebrates different heritages and I plan to expose my future students to a world that they have yet not discovered. I, myself, am of different nationalities. It has allowed me to appreciate where an individual comes from and who the individual is as a person.
Other hobbies I enjoy are what I consider my three R’s; reading, running, and relaxing. I do have guilty pleasures, that being television and video games. I can’t get enough of either I’m afraid to say. I’m also a victim of constant web surfing but more so, in the hopes of finding more productive resources for my eventual progression towards becoming an educator. I hope this page has provided with some insight into who I am, explore the rest of the website to gain a more in-depth look into how I think and work.
