Starting to collect some musical ideas

Wow!

This Google offering seems to be just perfect for displaying some musical ideas.  When I think of something fun, I'll upload it here, a location for a musical scratch book, not for fine art.

Audacity provided the open source software for recording. If you've never used or tried Audacity - give it a try. I can recommend it; it's smaller and simpler than Garage Band.

Thanks

silly buddy is 2 things traveling along at the same time: a simple bass line and a rhythmic piece with melody. There's one harmonic oddity, and it's deliberate, the sequence of b flat 7th with d and e seventh with d. Silly buddy bounces along until it twists your earbrain, then goes back to bouncing predictably.

Massachusetts, by Arlo Guthrie, is the Massachusetts "State Folk Song", an oxymoron lost on the state house crowd. It's a great song, though...
