55 gallon puffer tank
Stocking:
- Five baby Figure-eight puffers (Tetraodon biocellatus) kept at 1.015 SG (being slowly lowered to 1.005)
Filtration:
- Fluval 304 canister with surface skimmer and Eheim Aquaball powerhead.
Substrate:
- Carib-sea Aragonite sand.
Lighting:
- Two 15w LifeGlo2 bulbs.
- About a dozen Platties, 2 Amano shrimp, and innumerable Ram's Horn and Common Pond snails.
Plants:
- Anubias barteri var. nana,
- Microsorum pteropus (Java fern),
- Hydrocotyle verticillata,
- Cryptocoryne wendtii "green",
- Microsorum pteropus 'Windeløv',
- Crinum Thaianum,
- Cladophora aegagropila (Marimo balls),
- Hygrophila of some sort on the right side.
Filtration:
- Filtration consists of a Whisper 60 HOB filter with 2 foam blocks for mechanical filtration, Fluval 205 canister with surface skimmer for biological and water polishing. Bottom basket of filter floss, middle basket of bio-max, and top basket bio-max and a bag of Purigen.
Substrate:
- Substrate is a mixture of Seachem Fluorite, Hagen geosystem shale gravel, and some large diameter natural gravel ~2" deep.
Lighting:
- Lighting consists of 3 light strips using T8 15w PowerGlo, FloraGlo, and LifeGlo2 bulbs with home-made ghetto tinfoil reflectors, for a total of ~1.5wpg.
Fertilizer:
- Ferts used are Seachem Flourish Complete, Flourish Excel, and Flourish Iron.
