Graduate Student Stage
  • Sep. 2006-Jan.2007, Undergraduate Student Teaching Assistant at Xidian University, for the undergraduate class on Linear Algebra, with Assistant Prof. Jie Li.
 
  • Oct.2006-Apr.2008, Image & Video Watermarking Research Group (vice-leader of the group)
  1. Designed and implemented a video watermarking algorithm using perceptual masking, which derived from 3-D CWT coefficients of video sequence.
  2. Constructed video watermarking schemes in ICA-DWT domain, using ICA to extract the independent components of characterized video matrix.
  3. Further optimized the previous algorithm by combining the wiener filtering to embed the watermark into characterized video matrix.
  4. Took part in the core algorithms programming of the Vid-Mark V1.0 software, which has registered as a copyright by the National Copyright Administration.
  5. Our team's work was reviewed to evaluate the Key Project of MOE entitled "Multi-resolution Spatio-temporal Embedding and Blind Detection Algorithms"( entrusted by the Division of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education ,June 1, 2007).
  • Feb.2007-Apr.2007 Machine Learning Approach for Visual Object Detection
  1. Finished a video object tracking algorithm, adapted located the position of moving object. This algorithm is based on the particle filtering algorithm.
  2. Proposed and tried out a video watermarking algorithm using particle filtering to select the embedding area and adaptive embedded with a HVS masking.
  • Nov.2006-Jan.2007 Video Retrieval Based on Content
  1. Conceived an algorithm to extract the video character parameter, which was defined by uniting the Gaussian distributions of three sub-band of 3-D DWT, the results of retrieving prove the effectiveness of the algorithm.
