We are interested in Holocene Sediments and Soils, and are specialized in the development of Landuse and it's effects on the environment. Currently John M Sullivan and M.Sc. Jared David May are the primary investigators.  Our fields of expertise are:

Soils: Terra Preta (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terra_preta), buried Soils (Ab Horizons), and geomorphology.

Dating: C14, OSL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optically_stimulated_luminescence), CS137, Artifacts.

Holocene Landuse, including prehistoric forestry, water management, and agriculture.

Archeology: Southeast US - Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian Periods; Pacific Northwest (PNW); Central Europe (Alps and North); UK.

Other: Stone Tools, Micromorphology, Pollen, Wood Fragments, Forest Management (pre-historical as well as historical).
