The Aviary RoomThe Aviary Room has a queen bed and full wardrobe. The large windows of this light and airy room face away from the street. The large wardrobe includes plenty of space for your tango shoes. We provide quality bed linens that are cool for summer, with a goosedown duvet to keep you warm in winter. This room has summer airconditioning.
 Included in the price are:
- A delicious continental breakfast, normally available between 9 and 11 am (tell us if you want to eat earlier).
- Facilities for making tea, coffee and mate (ma-tay) at other times, with fridge space for your drinks and food items, and access to the kitchen for microwave and simple meal preparation.
- Quality bed linens, with extra pillows and a feather duvet for winter.
- Fluffy towels and bathrobes, and use of hairdrier.
- Wifi internet.
- Free local calls on the casa landline.
- Sensible security items:
- a lockable wardrobe for valuables;
- a strong, anchored security cable for your laptop (fits all models); and
- a set of room, house and building keys for each registered guest.
Our 'up and running' pack, including (per room):
- a rechargeable Monedero card with 10 peso credit for the subtes (underground trains);
- a Guia (bus route guide with detailed maps) and 5 pesos in coins for the colectivos;
- an up-to-date copy of the famous BsAs tango map and guidebook; and
- free use of a prepay BsAs cellphone preset with useful local numbers, and pre-loaded with whatever initial credit you would like to purchase. (A $US 40 security deposit on the cellphone is refundable when you leave.)
Access to our collection of tourist guidebooks and pamphlets, Spanish and lunfardo dictionaries, tango CDs and movie DVDs, and our extensive collection of books in English.
We also offer a free 30 minute guided walk around our bario to introduce you to useful shops and services.
