Casa RosaCasa Rosa is tucked into the rooftops of Buenos Aires, on the sixth floor of a building originally designed for a large and prosperous extended family. It is full of light, but well positioned so that the winter sun streams in, but in summer only the breeze can enter. It has a full length balcony garden, where you can enjoy evenings under the stars, and can luxuriate in the winter sunshine. This casa offers the Rose Suite (a large double bedroom with attached office/private sitting room) which has its own semi-private portion of the balcony, and the Aviary Room (a large double bedroom). The large shared bathroom includes a full tub, and there is another half bathroom. Smoking is permitted at Casa Rosa and, as Flavia and Carlos (our two La Boca born cats) are generally in residence, it's best you aren't allergic to our feline friends. A tango lover's dreamCasa Rosa is in Facultad at Lavalle y Pasteur - only 2 blocks from both the 'B' (Pasteur) and 'D' (Facultad de Medicina) subte stops.
From here you can walk or take the subte one stop to the house of Carlos Gardel (now a museum) or walk to the El Beso and Porteno y Bailarin milongas (both 3 blocks) . The daily afternoon and evening milongas and daily morning classes at the historic Confiteria Ideal are only 3 stops on the subte or a 5 minute taxi ride away.
For classes at the prestigious DNI tango school you only need to walk one block. For those who aren't Tango crazy, DNI also offers yoga classes, salsa, Argentine folklore, as well as therapeutic massage and a bar to meet other dancers.
