MANDATORY MEETING for PACK Representatives : June 6, 2012


MANDATORY Day Camp Information Meeting


Wednesday, June 6, 2012   at   5:30 PM   or   ~8:15 PM


LOCATION: Fireman's Memorial Park in Aspinwall.     Map link


Directions: From Freeport Road turn onto Center Avenue and follow to top of hill. Turn left on River Oaks Dr/W 9th Ave. Proceed to park entrance on left. Overflow parking available at River Oaks Apartments, Oakhurst Circle.



The information meeting is held in conjunction with the Japeechen District Roundtable meeting and picnic. You are welcome to join us for the covered dish dinner at 6:00 PM. (Nominal requested donation of $3.)


There will be two half-hour sessions available, one at 5:30 PM and the other at ~ 8:15 PM (after the general Roundtable meeting). Your Pack Day Camp Coordinator or a Pack representative MUST attend one of these sessions. Important information will be provided. Parent Information Brochures and Leader Information Sheets will be handed out.


**Please note that t-shirts will not be available at the meeting. Shirts may be picked up on the first day of camp.

 

We need to get commitments for any unfilled staff positions by June 6th. We will have a schedule of positions that still need to be filled for each week. We are requesting each Pack to provide a staff volunteer for at least one day of camp, in addition to the adults who will be chaperoning the boys. We will need extra help for the campfire. We need to have certified medical staff available in camp everyday. (They can walk with their group and carry a walkie-talkie provided by Day Camp, or if they're carrying a cell phone, provide us with the number.) We need to identify medical staff and receive a copy of their certification before camp. We also need a copy of Range Certification from the BB and Archery range instructors before camp. Please photocopy certifications and bring them to Roundtable.

 

Staff orientation will take place on Sunday, June 24th at Camp Guyasuta. (Please refer to the Staff Information page via the link at the left.)
