All scouts, adults and tot lot must bring a packed non-perishable lunch and a drink as refrigeration is not available.
Staff and Jr Staff will have a lunch provide for them and will eat in Shel-to-wee, the building where Tot Lot is held.
All children in Tot Lot need to be picked up at the
beginning of the lunch period and go to eat with their parent. If their
parent is Staff, they will eat in Shel-to-wee. If their parent is a
Pack leader/helper, they will go eat with the Pack. Children should not
be returned to Tot Lot until the end of the lunch period.
Lunch time is important and due to lots of physical activity, scouts will need a nutritious lunch.
Also, scouts may bring small nutritious pocket snacks to eat throughout the day. Please remember
to send your scout to camp with a water bottle. Water will be available throughout the day camp.
Quiet time is the time following lunch. This is time for leaders to spend time with their packs. Quiet time can be time for:
- rehearsing songs and skits for the camp campfire following lunch on Thursday.
- rehearsing opening or closing ceremony for scouts who are assigned flag ceremony (opening or closing)
- working on activities that may lead to advancements or belt loops
- visiting the trading post
- playing a game
- resting
Remember that the buddy system is still in place during quiet time. Leaders need to know where all scouts are at all times. |
