Adult leaders need to explain the Day Camp rules to their Scouts. 1. Absolutely no throwing of rocks, stones or sticks. 2. Never go anywhere without your BUDDY! Each boy has a buddy so one can go get help if needed. 3. Never leave an area without permission; tell a leader where you and your buddy are going. 4. No running except during Sports activities. 5. No one is allowed in the creek, unless supervised by an adult who is at the creek with them. 6. No climbing the hillside. There are yellow jacket nests and poison ivy. 7. The COPE course is absolutely off-limits, including use of any tables in that area at lunch times. 8. Always pick up litter and dispose of it properly, even if it is not yours! 9. If you get lost, stay where you are; we will find you. If you see an adult, tell them you are lost. 10. Do not bring any electronic devices, unless they are a gift for the Camp Director. 11. Singing is strongly encouraged, especially while going from one area to another. 12. Smiling is mandatory! 13. ALWAYS have FUN!!!!!!
Any scout who is unruly or creating problems WILL be sent home. Problems with Cubs or adults should be brought to the attention of the Pack Leader and the Camp Director or District Executive, during camp if possible.
THERE IS NO PHYSICAL DISCIPLINE AT DAY CAMP.
Additional Rules for Adults
Each Pack must have two-deep leadership.
A ratio of 1 adult to 5 Scouts is recommended. Tigers must have their Tiger adult with them. (If the boy was a Tiger during the curent school year, he will be a Wolf by the beginning of camp. A Tiger will be a boy who has just joined and is entering 1st grade.) No alcohol is permitted at any time in any area of camp. No smoking around the boys. The camp is a smoke-free facility. No profanity, off-color jokes or bathroom humor. Adults are not permitted in the boys' changing room at the pool. No physical discipline; this includes your own children. Be careful with verbal discipline. If there is any questionable behavior or if any situation gets out of control, please notify the Camp Director and/or District Director. Please contact staff during camp rather than calling Flag Plaza after camp is over.
