Kwalikum Secondary has been sending KSS students to Japan for long term exchanges since 1996. This is a life changing experience for the right students. To qualify for the exchange, students must be studying Japanese at KSS. They must also have a good attendance and behavior record, and a solid academic record. The most important qualification is a positive and friendly attitude. At this time we have two ways of getting KSS students to Japan: Suzuka Secondary - KSS Sister School in Japan Suzuka Secondary is located in Suzuka City in Mie Prefecture (Google Map).We have been exchanging students with Suzuka for 3 month homestays. since 2004. Every year we try to send two KSS students for a three month exchange for the months of May, June and July. A longer stay is possible. Their is no tuition fee for this program, but students must pay a homestay, commuting costs to and from school and air fare to and from Japan.
