| Our MissionOur mission is to provide our customers with the best possible product, grown the way Mother Nature intended. Our ProductOur chickens are raised in moveable pens which reside on certified organic pasture on a ridgetop overlooking the Kickapoo Valley of Southwestern Wisconsin. They spend their lives outside in the sunshine and fresh air, yet have access to shelter whenever they wish. The pens are moved every morning to provide them with fresh pasture all day. The chickens consume grasses, clovers, seeds, insects, and even a little dirt along with their unmedicated ration. This blend of natural ingredients replicates their natural diet perfectly. This translates into exceptional taste in the final product. Health BenefitsRecent studies have shown that grassfed chickens have higher levels of Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, and Beta-Carotene than factory-farm raised conventional birds. Research also demonstrates that pasture raised poultry, as compared to conventional chicken has:
Omega-3 fatty acids are derived from the green, leafy portion of plants. They are important to cardiovascular and mental health, as well as reducing the risk of cancer. Better than Free-Range?Our chickens recieve fresh new pasture every day, ensuring them a healthy living environment and fresh food every day. Often, free range birds will quickly consume all of the forage near their shelter, destroying the pasture and creating unsanitary living conditions.
