In recent news, the Spring Ball, or the Butterfly Ball as it’s been called by some, was a huge success for the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  The 3^rd annual Spring Ball took place on May 18^th, 2010 at The Pierre Hotel and saw over 400 people in attendance.

Co-chairs for the event included Shelley Carr, Tory Burch, Jamie Tisch, and Dee Dee Ricks.  Tory Burch explained the importance of the event for herself when she said, “For me, it's personal. My father Buddy passed away a few years ago from cancer. I know first-hand how important cancer research and treatment facilities like Sloan-Kettering are, and how dedicated and tireless the women and men who work there are.”
