MSU Students and NCVEI to provide Practice Management Summer Outreach Program
The Veterinary Practice Builder’s Association (VPBA) is partnering with the NCVEI (National Commission of Veterinary Economic Issues), AVMA and MVMA to send trained student volunteers to practices throughout Michigan to teach managers how to utilize the web-based practice management tools provided by the NCVEI at their website: www.ncvei.org. These analytical tools, referred to collectively as the “Exam Room” provide users with immediate feedback on how data entered from their own practice compares to other practices similar in size and structure, both nationally and regionally. In Michigan, only approximately 200 practices (22%) currently utilize these free tools. Confidentiality is maintained through the NCVEI’s strict internet
security measures and each student volunteer signs a confidentiality agreement
prior to their visit. Over 7,500 practices nationwide have safely utilized one
or more of the 12 benchmarking tools. The VPBA volunteers will be assisting with
the input for tools relating to fees, income and marketing. To utilize the “Exam
Room” program a valid AVMA or AAHA ID number is required. If you are interested
in participating or learning more about the NCVEI outreach program please email
