The amazing variety of life on Earth has evolved over hundreds of millions of years. The manner in which the human species interacts with all other species of animals, plants and microbes and their habitats, is critical to the future of us all.

Our daily choices and actions affect biodiversity locally and globally.

Jamberoo Future Care intends to work wiith the local community on sustainability initiatives to protect the biodiversity upon which we all depend, and pass on a rich natural heritage to our future generations.

Our strategy  is to educate and support the community in minimising threats to biodiversity, such as global warming, habitat disturbance, introduced species and pollution.

Future actions include:

  • Identify, and assist community networking with, relevant action groups such as Landcare and Conservation Volunteers Australia (weed removal, habitat restoration, erosion control works, etc), Streamwatch (water quality) and WIRES (injured wildlife carers).
  • Lobby against any proposed developments that pose potential threats to local habitat, biodiversity or natural resources.
  • Promote community awareness on the importance of biodiversity and threat abatement through information dissemination at community and school events.
