“I hope that my achievements in life shall be these -- that I will have fought for what was right and fair, that I will have risked for that which mattered, and that I will have given help to those who were in need; that I will have left the earth a better place for what I've done and who I've been.” C. Hoppe
Jammer Links jamarleeburke@ gmail.com | For as long as I can remember I have gravitated to children. I have always sought out work and volunteer opportunities with young people. My experiences serving with AmeriCorps NCCC and Vista have cemented my desire to be a teacher. Being in disaster stricken areas, inner city schools, and low-income neighborhoods, I observed some of the many challenges our society faces today.
Through the eyes of a child, a person sees the world in a completely different light. The world is full of opportunity, mystery, and delight. During a person’s childhood, she is shaped into who she will be for the rest of her life. I want to be a part of who that child becomes. I want to help inspire her to appreciate the amazing world around her, to be excited about learning, and to know she can succeed in life. | Teaching Experience America Reads (Ashland, OR) Teacher’s Assistant in grades 1-6.
