Hi. This is my personal web page. The main objective is to generate an encourage to show my professional work and share academic and scientific information.

I am Civil Engineer in Sound and Acoustic from the Universidad Tecnológica de Chile. My main research field is Signal Processing, Cochlear Implants and Computational Intelligence. You can find specific information about my work in the Curriculum Vitae and Publications sections.

Currently I have begun the doctoral programme at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, at the Division of Experimental Otorhinolaryngology. The main objective is to study the use of different pulse shapes to characterize the auditory nerve response and evaluate the possible benefices in Cochlear Implant (CI) users as well as the developing of new strategies and auditory nerve models.

On the field of image processing, I have worked developing and implementing tools for noise reduction, image enhancement , de-interlace filters, tracking algorithms  an so on, applied to medicine.

In the acoustic field, my main work has been the development of an acoustic software called Makakito das Janelas (MJ), which is a software for measuring acoustics parameters by using sweep signals. For more information visit http://www.mj.cl or download my thesis project.
