Jaeyoung Yang

Bio

Jaeyoung Yang was born in 1975 in Jeonju, South Korea.
 
He is a post-doc fellow in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He is working with Professor Anind K. Dey.He received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. in computer science from Hanyang University in 1998, 2000, and 2003 respectively under the supervision of Professor Joomin Choi. I am very proud of being his student.
 
Dr. Yang's primary research interests lie in the areas of machine learning and ubiquitous computing. Machine learning is a well studied topic in AI and statistics communities. He usually uses graphical models to build models for recognition and prediction. Based on his background, he is looking for methods to apply machine learning to context-awareness areas for ubiquitous environment.
 
Before he joined CMU, he worked for Korea WISENUT as the Director of Research Center, and Dongbu CNI as a Manager.
