I was introduced to this delectable appetizer at a Super Bowl party that I attended.... It had me at "hello"... I think that you will feel the same...
PS - I haven't included the instructions on the Ice Sculpture/Shooter Prop that we were made to put to use each and every time the Steelers scored.... it wasn't pretty)
These are super easy to make and are sooooo deelish! (be careful not to get a brain freeze!) Greek Salad.... it's wonderful and makes a GREAT main course!
Chili! This chili is a spicy - off the beaten path kind of chili... When I take that first spoonful... the first thing I think of is how MUCH I love this chili!! The second thing I think of is that I hope there will be leftovers so that I can have it for lunch tomorrow... (that's the way I think.... don't judge me!) You can tweak the amount of chili powder if you're scared of too much 'kick'.... start with half the amount if you are worried about the wimps in your household... Taste test part way through simmering and add more if you think they can handle it!
CHICKEN PICATA! I stole this recipe from Leslie... (shh! don't tell her!) It is delicious and is a dish that's sure to impress !
Dessert! This is my take on a recipe that I found on PW's website. They taste like something that you would slave over to make, and yet, you can throw them together in just a few minutes! You gotta love these!
RIBS!
These babies are fantastic... and easy... did I mention fantastic?! (another of Leslie's Most Requested Recipes)
DESSERT! This cake is almost as easy as opening up a Sara Lee cake box! (But it tastes 100 times better!)
Curry Night!! Chicken Tikka Masala is wonderful and a great dish to serve for 'Curry Night'!! Try it! You'll love it!
Chicken Enchiladas!
meal on your family's list!
Snacks! CARAMEL CORN!
This recipe has been kicking around forever... It is not only delicious but it will make you extremely popular if you make it (and even more so if you share it with others!)
Appetizers!
As I've mentioned before - you can never have too many good appetizer recipes! Here is another great one that my friend Karen passed on to me a while back... This baked in a bread loaf dip is 'the bomb' (which means 'really good' for those of you who aren't well versed in "cool & hip lingo" like I am) K.C.'s Baked Cheesy Bacon in A Loaf
Dessert! Thanks to Paula Deen for creating this fantastic banana dessert! Words cannot express how much I LOVE THIS STUFF!!
Another Great Appetizer! Mom’s Famous Cream Cheese
Balls!
Made famous by my Mom; Jackie, way 'back in the day'! Many fond childhood memories involve these kinds of yummy treats that my mother whipped up as appetizers on holidays (back when most people only had hors'douvres at fancy restaurants… which for most families back then meant - NEVER!
Mom's Famous Cream Cheese Balls
Brunch!
These Cheese Blintzes are really delicious and quite easy to make. They are a wonderful addition to any brunch. (if you aren't inclined to have brunch, then have them at breakfast)
Oriental Salads Two different types, both with a common ingredient - Ramen Noodles! Very easy to throw together! Give them a try.... you won't be sorry!
Soup! This soup recipe was given to me by my friend Linda who claims she can't cook. I think you'll agree to disagree with her after tasting this delicious concoction! This is really easy to make and is a totally satisfying meal!
My own creation and a super easy throw- together kind of meal that everyone in our house loves!
Do any of you have this problem?
Me either.... just checking!
Check out these recipes: Tin Pan Brownies & Weezie's Brownies! You'll LOVE them both and they won't make your clothes shrink* * if you don't eat them
Secret Family Recipe! This stuff has been part of our family for way longer than I have. My Mom and my Aunt used to get together and make their old family recipe when I was little, and my Aunt Mary Ann taught me how to make it when I asked (or begged) her to show me how to do it. This wonderful Chili Sauce goes great with any kind of beef or chicken. I've even seen my Dad eat it out of the jar with a tablespoon! Try it! You'll like it!
Curry Night!! My friend Marge turned us on to Curry, which by the way, she claims is the #1 take-out food in the UK! It has become one of our family favorites! We actually have "Curry Nights" where several of us make different dishes to share and our families get together for a big buffet of Indian cuisine!
Sides!
If you love loaded baked potatoes.... you'll LOVE this!
Dessert!
These wonderful bars are good for you... they have oatmeal in them! (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
