TEAM PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome to the 2009-2010 IYHA House League season! We are looking forward to a great experience for the players, parents, and coaches. In an effort to help get organized as we have just completed our first official week of practices, the IYHA board would like to offer assistance to any and all team parents that would like some guidance to assist their respective coaches in organizing and communicating team activities
| COACHING INFORMATION
It is every Coaches responsibility to submit all Volunteer Screening and CEP documents and/or copies of their current CEP Cards VOLUNTEER INFORMATIONLOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD VOLUNTEERS This
season one of the IYHA areas of emphasis is to make sure that
all participants have a positive experience both on and off the ice. LOCKER
ROOM ASSISTANTS
As the season begins and teams are formed, we will be seeking one or two volunteers from each team who will be willing to assist the coaches in monitoring locker rooms. Two responsible adults should be in a locker room whenever any players are present. USA Hockey rules require that adults who are in direct contact with youth players undergo background screenings through the company selected by USA Hockey. We will not be able to accept screenings done for other organizations. The screening cost is $30. Please consider whether you are willing to assist us in this way to help maintain a safe and positive environment for our players. We will send out more information about this volunteer opportunity as the season begins. We are also looking for several energetic volunteers to help the IYHA on special projects. These projects can range from helping organize events to helping copying and distributing materials, from helping coordinate fundraisers to contacting potential sponsors and anything in between. |
